Absolutely fuckin wild that SCOTUS delivered a blow to LGBTQ inclusive nondiscrimination laws nationwide based on that case…because one web designer went to court to have the “right” to refuse to design wedding websites for same gender couples hypothetically.
Hypothetically, because no one even tried to hire her to do that. But this is the outcome.
I hope Lorie Smith never has a day of peace ever again.
…And they just stuck down the Biden administrations student loan forgiveness program.
Something that I have kind of been thinking about is the layout of the lair & how sometimes when we see the main area of the lair we see two rooms, one with weights & one with a practice sword and a plant in them
According to the Rise book Secrets of the City this is where the Turtles bedrooms are located as in the episode Down with the Sickness when each Turtle gets sick, they are placed in their bedrooms which is kind of proven as you can sort of see the boombox from Mikey’s room in the background as the Turtles are running around during the episode
This is also further proven when we see a plant next to Leo when Leo is placed in his room after he gets sick during the episode.
Which most likely means that the room with the weights is most likely Raph’s room as the times that we have seen Raph’s room have shown that he keeps weights in it
Which means that two kind of small conclusions can sort of be drawn from this in that one. Leo keeps a plant in his bed room which might be a small reference to how other versions of Leo such as the IDW iteration of Leo likes to garden & even spends time in a small green house full of plants
And another conclusion that can kind of be drawn about the layout of the lair is that for most of Rise or at least until the episode Lair Games, Leo & Raph’s bedrooms were right next to each other.
Having your own personal blog is honestly quite a nice change of pace compared to Reddit. I could put a funny GIF of George Bush getting hit by a shoe on here and the worse case scenario is that no one even notices.
You put that on a big subreddit and you get your eyes gouged out and a heap of political discourse underneath your post.
this is like 100% petty all things considered but i just can’t wait until some of u learn that it is absolutely normal for people of any age to refer to their dads as “daddy” in many parts of the south like it isn’t a red flag there. 60 year old women in my family still refer to their dads as “daddy.” and btw i think anyone should be allowed to call their own fathers whatever they want without someone either making it nasty or being accusatory like don’t you get tired of making ppl uncomfortable for no reason
good morning to every person who calls their parents mommy or daddy or pápi or papa or mama or baba or any other “childish” name. and to everyone who is unnecessarily rude or condescending under this post please go back to sleep and get some good rest so you’re not as cranky and mean to strangers on the internet.
First time as an actor having to be brutally murdered onstage and help why is it so embarrassing
Me walking into the greenroom after I just spent a whole scene screaming and begging for my life: hey…. How y’all doin…
Director: please stop giving people the thumbs up while you’re being murdered.
Me: …just trying to break the tension
Found a theater friend to share the agony with — opposite situation, he had to scream and cry after killing someone else onstage — claims it was equally embarrassing.
Oh yeah thanks for reminding me that after opening night I have to start facing people who haven’t been conditioned to my nightly Scream And Death Sequence. Humiliating for them as well as me.
This looks like a fucking parody post, or an edgy edit, but it’s 100% official real Flintstones.
Clarification: I don’t hate this book, I love it, it’s amazing. It’s just that taking a step back and looking it out of context is still really funny. Especially the line “We participated in a genocide, Barney.”
ok but imagine them in their cartoon forms saying this dialogue i’m
can we have some context to this, perhaps?
Bedrock is having a mayoral election. One of the candidates is a violent war mongering asshole that riles people up against the lizard people. This reminds Fred and Barney of their time in the army.
Back then the father of said violent candidate was riling people up against the “tree people”. Fred, Barney, and other soldiers fought what they believed to be a defensive measure against the tree people. Turns out, it was actually an invasion, in order to kill off the tree people and take over their forest to build Bedrock.
That’s what Fred means when he says he and Barney participated in a genocide. They literally did.
(Extra fun fact, Barney adopted a tree person baby after the war, and his son Bamm-Bamm is the last tree person.)

Having a bad day? push play, and within six seconds all you will feel is tears of laughter streaming down your face and the stomach cramps of laughing too hard.
This is one of the finest things ever captured on film.
Does anyone else remember playing music in Windows Media Player and just sitting there and watching this for like two hours
It’s interesting that this thread of development was mostly abandoned. I think it only shows up in clubs now, where there’s been some continued development in abstract music visualization.
Either people listen to iTunes, which doesn’t automatically provide a visualizer, or they use streaming platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, etc, which don’t provide customizable visualizations. YouTubers often just use some fixed background, sometimes anime-based, or a simple equalizer-type visualizer.
Milkdrop2 is the hardware accelerated visualizer engine used by WinAmp, and there are still people writing new presets for it to this day, although it’s a small nerd community and they mostly use it themselves and yes, for clubs.
There’s a few modern implementations of the Milkdrop shader engine that make it easier to use on modern systems, including ProjectM on desktop and Butterchurn on web. I used to use ProjectM a lot.
iTunes also still has a built in set of visualizers on desktop, although they’re the same ones its had for years.
